Director Andrew Currie is better at laughs than scares, but he can't sustain either as Fido runs out of steam in the final stretch.. This indie exercise is so stultifying you might want to check your own pulse.. For a one-joke movie, Fido does a fine job exploring every possible permutation of that joke.. The excellent performances by the cast are also what raise this movie well above your ordinary action movie.. A masterpiece of genre film-making, really worth to watch.. You think they're dead,...
