Like many movies made by Kevin Smith, the director of "Clerks" and "Cop Out," his gothic horror comedy "Tusk" is alternately amusing, appalling and frustrating. It's also unique.. Smith seems to have been more charged up by the (profoundly ridiculous) ideas behind his movie than in making them work..
